just a life update

its wednesday? wowsers. it feels like tuesday. and for some strange reason tuesday felt like wednesday. very confusing, i know.

this weather is taking a toll on my bod. i am currently fighting the common cold. my throat is starting to get scratchy, my nose is doing all kinds of weird, un-lady-like things and my sleep habits resemble my typical summer-to-fall transition: i sleep. a lot. ive been craving tea, which means my body is rejecting the thought of coffee (aka i am dehydrated). although Biggby has their Cinn. Toffee Coffee back for the fall/winter and i am just so excited for that. yum!

i love Biggby. i think the company in whole is pretty cool. the way the do business and such. i applaud them. rarely ever do i have a bad experience. as a side note, i am a "regular" at the west side location. and for MONTHS a fine young gent (Dave) has waited on me. he knew my order before i even said "good morning".he would encourage me to spend $5 on a drink but knew that unless i had a coup then i would be going with a $2 coffee. sometimes he would give me the mess-up drinks for free or offer a free shot of espresso when i looked like i was sleep walking. i could depend on Dave to pull through for me at Biggby. it's a lovely experience.

or it was. until they changed his schedule. grrrr! since then, i have had the pleasure of working with the newbies. so now, unfortunately, i have had a few more bad experiences. (darn it all.) yesterday, they were just starting to brew the Cinn. Toffee. (and i was craving it yesterday). so i had to wait 3 mins. for it to be done. i know, typical impatient american... but i seriously had no time for that. i was late as it was. so the kind newbie offered to place my cup under the machine so i could have the freshest of fresh Cinn. Toffee. i already had 1/2 a cup of reg coffee so i figured it wouldnt take that long, so i gave in and gave her my cup. long story short, she wasnt paying attention and the cup overflowed. COFFEE EVERYWHERE. ugh. remember, i am late for work. so i am annoyed. she gave me a larger cup (which was nice) but i basically had to wait the 3 mins. i didnt want to afterall. conclusion: i was really late for work and fairly annoyed with people.

i miss dave. (ha.)

on another note, my lovely boyfriend and i went to a haunted corn maize with some of his friends, in light of the upcoming "holiday". in summary, there were 3 chainsaws (no chains) and the boy and i got chased into a corner by a creepy 'monster'. so when we realized we could go no further, i turned around and basically gave the 'monster' a hug. i havent jumped or been that scared in ages. clearly he wasn't really but it was shock of not knowing someone was behind me and then turning around to be chest to chest. good thing my knight and shining armor was there.

speaking of him...things are going well. i am happy. content. content is good for me, really good, for this category of my life. you might think that content is not a very good thing, almost like settling or that things aren't exciting anymore, but its just the opposite for me. i am perfectly happy with our relationship and where its headed and the pace its at. i still get excited to see him, miss him after a few days of not talking, get the chills when he kisses me, and feel instantly warm when he grabs my hand.

im not terrified things are going to end or dwell over trying foresee the future. im content with not knowing because i am happy with him the way things are and am trusting that God will pave the way for our relationship.

alright, i should go. i have to make a foam board of the world to track our BlackBerry support calls for work. i'll add a picture at a later date.
