i am totally loving Etsy and what my Stumbleupon is suggesting to me though. i find all these great DIY ideas and projects, but my [personal] project funding is low and i dont really have everything i need - like staple guns and areas to allow paint to dry. i have all this great furniture that i would love to repaint, but i would choke if i left it to dry in my apt. [bad idea]
i also found this super cool watering garden project that i am anxious to do, but have no idea how to do it. it includes light bulbs so i am a little iffy on how to do it and not injure myself.
i came across this neat finger nail project that i wanted to try. unfortunately when i found it, my nails were flaming fuchsia and it wouldnt have worked. luckily, my habits of picking at my nail polish allowed me to finally give in. the other obstacle was that i needed legit newspaper. i dont get legit newspaper so i had to beg, borrow and steal to get one from someone at work. [actually they just gave it to me but whatever]. so last night i took to the polish remover and sat down with 2 bottles of polish, rubbing alcohol and some newspaper. i did this DIY here.

i also attempted to do this project here. but it is so hard to find the right tubes. and my impatience got the best of me so i settled with boxes and push-pinned them to a cork board. i thought it looked cool at the time but i am still ashamed to bring it into work and hang it in my cube. so it sits on my kitchen table. i have yet to figure out how to save it. i think it has some good life in it yet, i just have to ponder over what to do with it.
the thing is, i find all these really sweet crafty things like this, but have no idea how to start it. and it looks so simple too. thats what is frustrating. so im left with just drooling over what i cant do. what a tease.
as far as my lack of creativity at work.... i need to sit in a room full of color and extremely abstract graphics/advertisements. that would probably get my wheels turning again... too bad that room doesnt exist [that i know of].
la ta di da... drier than dry.
