i guess what i want to share tonight does have some overlapping in the last post but hopefully it will shed a light of hope and joy vs. whatever was blurted out in my previous post.
things really are going well for me. God has blessed me so much that i should not grumble for where i am at in life because He really does have a plan for me and this is exactly where He wants me. Last sunday the pastor at the church i attend asked us this:
"Do you think it is just by chance we live in the neighborhood that we live in? That we work at the company that we work at? No. There is a purpose for us where ever we are, whatever we are doing."
okay so i may have had to paraphrase that. but thats the gist of what he said and it makes sense to me. God plopped us down here in the situation that we are in, the place we are in our lives, so that we can impact others, grow and learn from others and grow towards God.
today at church we talked about Jesus. it was just great too. i mean we aren't really made to fathom the ENTIRE concept of God and Jesus, simply because if we were made to fully understand it in its entirely then there would be no point for us to have faith in our all mighty God. It was such a great, refreshing sermon about how Jesus was fully man and fully God and its so mind boggling to try and wrap my head around that concept! it truly is amazing. I really wonder what it was like to walk around knowing that Jesus was just down the street...? how cool would that be?
so many great things are happening to my friends and family right now. It just makes me feel so blessed. Friends finding out they are expecting, new love interests for others, exciting mission trips for some and great job opportunities. life really is great and in times like these it would only be selfish not to thank God. because through it all, the ups and the downs, the obstacles and hardships that occurred only to get to THIS POINT where we are RIGHT NOW was hand crafted by God himself. Sometimes we don't realize why everything is happening until we can look back and see the journey that we were on, to see the route and detours we took and see that God and only God could have got us to this place.
it kind of reminds me of those kid mazes you would get in the newspaper or the church bulletin. God gave us this route that we SHOULD take. but sometimes we get lost and can't find our way. sin and other temptations lure us to a corner with no escape but to turn around. that represents the dead ends of a maze. so we have to turn back and find a different route. erase what had happened and learn not to take a route or turn similar to that. there is only one way to get out of this maze of life and that's through God.
la ta di da...oh the maze of life.
