Wednesday

snow cones are still amazing... even at 23.

i'm all out of sentimental/deep thoughts tonight. sorry guys. i need a breather. i know you all live by my words of wisdom, but for now you will have to wait. [totally kidding....]

but really, i am taking a breather. my brain is fried. i have over thought way too much this week so i have little "wisdom" to share tonight.

however, i do have some catching up to do .... my weekend recap. can't share it all, but i will share something exciting.

[op! married with children just came on, which means its about my bed time...this will be a short post... i need sleep tonight]

My beansprout came to visit! beansprout is Heather. Heather is my roommate from my senior year in college. no idea where the name beansprout came from... maybe because she is taller than me i might have started calling her that...? can't remember. anywho, this girl is pretty much amazing and i see her very rarely now that we are really adults and we have crazy lives. it's hard to schedule time together. but on friday, she came to spend some QT with me.

Friday we word vomited the moment she stepped foot in my door. catching up over a long lost time is exhausting! [p.s. no one got sick] then we grabbed some food with a group of friendly friends in EL. then we returned to my humble abode where she watched a movie and i fought tooth and nail to stay awake [i lost].

saturday we awoke and chit chatted over some home brewed joe. then wandered over to platos closet in hopes to take advantage of a great sale...all our shopping motivation was sucked from us the minute we opened the door and was greeted by a nice lady who handed up a bag that we could fill for $15. after seeing the mass amount of people in the store we crinkled the bags up, stuffed them in our purses and walked out. homeward bound we went.

so on a gorgeous saturday afternoon, we made mac n cheese and watched titantic. it's what we do. eat and watch tv.

after feeling lame about our saturday we threw on bathing suits and drove out to hawk island county park.
have to say it was an interesting experience. i am originally from more of the west side of the state, the better side of the state ;) and well, see over there we have real lakes with real beaches and real sand.... can't say lansing offers much like what i am used to.

we laid in the sun - yes- but on the grass. it was weird. because there was a small lake in front of us but not much sand was available... it was strange. not like a bad strange necessarily but a different strange. over all we enjoyed ourselves as we ate snow cones and played in water fountains which are meant for small children.

i will leave you with a quote. that will be my sentimental leave behind, like a mint on a pillow. i'm sure you have A) either heard of it before or B) can relate to it in one way or another. if not, just ignore it ;-)

A sad thing in life is that sometimes you meet someone who means a lot to you only to find out in the end that it was never bound to be and you just have to let go.

la ta di da... that's all for now.

[give me a topic so i stop writing my nonsense down]
